The staff at the Pediatric Heart Center consists of qualified, board-certified physicians, nurses, medical assistants, technicians, a nutritionist, and other support personnel, all working together to care for each patient. They are highly experienced and dedicated to caring for children with heart problems. The Pediatric Heart Center offers cardiac testing for infants, children, and teenagers that includes electrocardiograms, echocardiography, Holter and event monitoring, and exercise stress testing. Also available are fetal evaluations with echocardiography for prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease.

State-of-the-art cardiac MRI is offered at Rhode Island Hospital in collaboration with the department of radiology. The Pediatric Heart Center places an emphasis on easy access to care and a family-friendly philosophy and environment. Excellent communication between staff members and families and referring physicians is a priority.

The center cares for the full spectrum of pediatric heart problems from the common to the extremely complex. It offers outpatient, inpatient, and cardiopulmonary testing, as well as preventive cardiology programs and a lipid clinic for patients with hyperlipidemia.
