Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

Welcome to the pediatric hematology oncology program at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.  We offer the highest quality, patient and family centered care and state-of-the-art treatments for hematology and oncology patients.

Our health care team consists of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, psychologists, nutritionists, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, child life specialists and parent consultants.

Our attending physicians are fellowship trained and board certified in pediatric hematology and oncology, along with other pediatric subspecialties, with areas of expertise that are uniquely available to patients at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.  Our collaboration and leadership within the national Children’s Oncology Group and membership in the Dana Farber Leukemia Consortium give our patients access to the most up-to-date national cooperative group therapies.

We have two doctors on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We can treat children in our pediatric emergency room, or if the need is more intense, we can admit the children to our inpatient service at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where a dedicated team of nurses, nurse practitioners and doctors manage their care. We provide most of our procedures under sedation or anesthesia, to minimize pain and anxiety about the procedure.
