Pediatric Rheumatology

The pediatric rheumatology clinic at Hasbro Children's Hospital is a multidisciplinary program designed to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment of children and adolescents who have:

• Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
• Lyme arthritis
• Post-infectious/reactive arthritis
• Hypersentsitivity vasculitis/serum sickness/drug reactions
• Henoch-Schönlein purpura
• Kawasaki's disease
• Acute rheumatic fever
• Spondyloarthritis
• Inflammatory bowel disease, with arthritis
• Screening for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)

In addition, we treat the following related conditions:

• Growing pains
• Chondromalacia patellae
• Hypermobility
• Generalized arthralgias exclusive of chronic pain amplification syndromes
