The Celiac Disease Program at Hasbro Children's Hospital offers information on various aspects of celiac disease and its management.

Physicians, nurses, dietitians and child psychologists are available in the department to help manage this autoimmune disease.

Celiac / Gluten Free Diet Class for Newly diagnosed Celiac Patients

Provided by: Maria Santini, RD, LDN, CNSC - Senior Pediatric Dietitian

All newly diagnosed pediatric celiac patients are referred to attend an initial class, provided by a registered dietitian, to review the gluten free diet. A 30-minute follow-up appointment will be scheduled three to four months after the class.

Classes take place in the APC Building- Room 702 every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 12:00-2:30pm. Children under 10 years of age are NOT required to attend the initial class. If an interpreter is required, an individual appointment will be scheduled.
