Information for Patients

Appointments

Office visits are by appointment and can be scheduled by calling 401-444-6540 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you need to cancel an appointment, please provide at least 24-hours notice. We will notify you if we need to reschedule your appointment due to an office emergency.

Your First Visit

During your first visit to the center, you will be assessed by a lung disease specialist. We will ask you to provide your medical history. Diagnostic studies including allergy testing, pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopy may be performed.

Patients need to bring:

• Any medication they are currently taking
• Their complete medical history
• Their insurance information
• Past tests and lab results

Emergencies

The Respiratory and Immunology Center at Hasbro Children's Hospital has a specialist on-call 24-hours a day for emergency situations. If your child experiences difficulty breathing, immediately go to your nearest emergency room.

Prescription Refills

If you need to refill a prescription, please call us at least 24 hours in advance to ensure that you will not be without your medication.

Billing and Insurance

Fees vary based upon the reason for your visit. If you have medical insurance, you are required to pay your co-payment at the time of your visit. The center accepts cash, checks, Visa or MasterCard.
