The 2019 Hasbro Children's Hospital Radiothon
Listen. Be Inspired. Change Lives.
April 4, 2019 • Starting at 6 a.m.
Each year, the Hasbro Children’s Radiothon fills the Rhode Island airwaves with amazing stories of courage and hope from patients, families, and staff at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Hosts from Cumulus Providence Radio Stations – including 92 PROFM, Lite Rock 105, 630WPRO and Hot 106 – broadcast live from the hospital, asking listeners to call in and pledge their support by making a one-time gift or by becoming a Miracle Maker (monthly donor). Since 2004, this annual event has raised over $8 million dollars to support the life-saving care at Hasbro Children's Hospital.
These funds have been used to purchase equipment, pay for uncompensated care, healing arts programs, child life programs and many other items that support the hospital and its goal to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

The 2019 Hasbro Children's Hospital Heroes Ball
Heroes Ball Raises $1.1 Million as Hospital Celebrates 25th Anniversary
It’s been 25-years since Hasbro Children’s first opened its doors, and on Saturday, March 2, nearly 800 guests filled the Rhode Island Convention Center to celebrate the milestone during the hospital’s Heroes Ball, raising $1,140,334 to benefit its work.
Funds raised through the event will support hospital programs that would not be possible without philanthropic support, such as child life and the healing arts. The evening’s special fund-a-need, which generated $266,900 of the total raised, will support renovations to the pediatric pre- and post-surgical areas.
Chaired by Robert Vincent, chairman of IGT Global Solutions Corporation and his wife, Grace, and co-chaired by Deanna and Scott Donnelly, CEO of Textron, the Heroes Ball opened with a cocktail reception featuring an aerialist performing 30-feet in the air. The harmonious sounds of the Rhode Island Children’s Chorus filled the air as guests were then invited into the ballroom. Read more
